Script/Story Analysis Class (Virtual/Zoom)

Script/Story Analysis for achieving a comprehensive understanding of a script/story. This class will help you find ways of unearthing all of the gems a text may have. It conditions you to find obvious, direct meaning and hidden, indirect meaning. What actor, director, writer, dramaturge, or student wouldn’t want to condition themselves to discover every last detail and piece of subtext in preparation for that next project?

This class is ideal for:

Actors who want to create deeper character development and attachment to the story.
Directors who need further guidance in developing a far-reaching appreciation of the material.
Writers who want to create more complex work.
Dramaturges who want to brush up on certain examination and interpretation skills.
Students and Professionals who need help in studying, analyzing, and critically thinking about literature, a text, an article, and material for classes, careers, and personal use.

Students will develop a better understanding of basic literary elements like plot, character, setting, themes, and symbolism, and use these literary elements to fully sit with text in order to build a complex perspective of the material. A variety of dramatic literature, texts, and stories will be used. This approach provides skills that will be used in preparation for years to come.
